Cars and things….

As a child growing up I was bombarded by cars and the more I got into them the more the custom car appealed to me, and I knew one day I would end up having or building my won custom car. This was brought forward hugely when at the age of 15 I was diagnosed with a large hole in the heart that until that moment had never been found. So massive and rare was this operation in 1979 that the whole family was petrified. To help everyone keep their nerves from frying my dad bought an old escort and me and him built a custom car to keep my mind off the impending operation. On my leaving day from Henry Harbin School my dad picked me up in my won customs car…

As I’ve got older my influences have changed and the past couple of builds have been wild by restrained with compliments saying my style is now more like a 1930’s French Coach builder than a custom car builder.
I have earned 3 Guinness book of records titles, Lowest car in the world twice and lowest van which 13 years later still stands and I have also been nominated for the Turner prize with my work being owned by Chris Evans, Baron Rothschild and a family friend of George Barris, the biggest name in the history of customising .
My work has been exhibited across the States, Europe, Scandanavia, Koria and Australia and it has appeared in magazines ranging from The Big Issue to Marie Claire and some years ago I had the full front cover of The New York Sunday Times!
